Privacy policy
Who we are
IT Plumbing and Heating, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. We are the data controller for information collected through this website. [CONFIRM: whether the business is a sole trader (name Ieuan Thomas) or a limited company (registered company name, company number and registered office); the single trading address, which must match the Google Business Profile; a contact email for data requests; and the ICO registration number if held.]
What we collect
When you use the eligibility checker or the savings calculator, we collect the property details you enter: your postcode and address, what currently heats your home, whether you are on the gas grid, and whether you own the property. To work out your grant rate and estimate your savings, we look up your property's Energy Performance Certificate from the public EPC register.
When you send an enquiry or ask to see your grant rate, we also collect your name, phone number and email address.
We collect standard analytics and advertising data through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, including how you reached the site from an advert. These use cookies and only load once you have accepted them in the consent banner.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, to carry out a survey and installation if you go ahead, and to apply for a Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf. We also use aggregated analytics to understand which parts of the site are useful.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest for responding to an enquiry you have made and for looking up your EPC to give you an accurate estimate, contract for work you have instructed, legal obligation for grant and certification records, and consent for analytics and advertising cookies.
Who we share it with
If you proceed with an installation, your details are shared with our MCS umbrella provider, Thermal Earth Limited, where needed to register your installation and process your grant, and with MCS and Ofgem as the scheme requires.
We also use Netlify, which hosts this website and processes the forms, Microsoft Outlook, which delivers your enquiry to us, and Google, which provides our analytics and advertising measurement where you have consented. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to unrelated third parties.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by an approved safeguard, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are normally deleted after 12 months. Where we carry out an installation, we keep the records for as long as needed to provide the service, honour warranties and meet our legal, tax and MCS obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Analytics and advertising cookies only load after you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the banner.
